Today the 34-year-old Houston catcher collected the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .516 average, 16 hits in 31 at-bats, 5 home runs, 18 RBIs and 12 runs scored. Cortéz is hitting .345 this season with 28 home runs, 124 RBIs and 98 runs scored.
