 | Hitting Streak Still Alive for McCraney Wednesday, August 29th, 2029 The Redwood City Redwoods fell to the Texarkana Bears in $5 Footlong Field today, even as 24-year-old first baseman Bill McCraney upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games. McCraney finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Redwoods from dropping the 7-3 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said McCraney. Bill McCraney hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th.
