Hitting Streak Still Alive for McCraney
Wednesday, August 29th, 2029
The Redwood City Redwoods fell to the Texarkana Bears in $5 Footlong Field today, even as 24-year-old first baseman Bill McCraney upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games. McCraney finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Redwoods from dropping the 7-3 decision.

"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said McCraney.
Bill McCraney hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th.

This season McCraney has hit at a .370 clip with 110 RBIs, 24 home runs and 84 runs scored.
