 | Aguilera Batters Santa Monica Big Time Thursday, August 2nd, 2029 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. José Aguilera is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Santa Monica Bruins at Jackie Robinson Stadium today. The monster effort from the 29-year-old center fielder helped the Spokane Trappers take the win, 19-7. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Bruins manager Mike Fox. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." José Aguilera doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Rafael Alemán in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
