The Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers took the 5-4 win today over the Richmond Flairs, but the Flairs mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 24-game hitting streak of Trout Slayers catcher Jason Erickson. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Erickson," Richmond manager Emmett Taylor commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Trout Slayers have other hitters and they did their job today." Thus far this season Erickson has hit .360 with 6 home runs, 83 RBIs and scored 77 times. |   |
