Erickson's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games

Jason Erickson has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 29-year-old Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers catcher extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-3 as Tuscaloosa got the best of the Birmingham Barons at Regions Field, 19-3.

"Jason has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Trout Slayers manager Yu-eh Kwan said.
Jason Erickson flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and walked in the 9th.

For the year Erickson has hit at a .356 clip with 75 RBIs, 5 home runs and 73 runs scored.
