 | Reeves Keeps Hit Streak Alive Tuesday, August 21st, 2029 Win or lose, George Reeves just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games. The Trenton Stars second baseman went 1-for-6 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 9-8 by the Amarillo Archdukes at The Lair in Charlotte. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." George Reeves struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. This year Reeves is hitting .375, produced 90 RBIs and 7 home runs, scored 119 times and gotten on base at a .420 rate. |   |
