| Daikawa Batters Chattanooga Big Time Tuesday, August 21st, 2029 Tuscaloosa catcher Satoru Daikawa had a big day at Tuscaloosa Municipal Stadium today against the Chattanooga Chinpokomon. The 31-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 6-for-6 and led the Trout Slayers to a 18-3 triumph over Chattanooga.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Daikawa said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Satoru Daikawa doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This season Daikawa has hit 3 home runs and posted a .338 batting average.
