Carter Sweet, the Portland Privateers 24-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for International League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 13 hits in 28 at-bats, compiling a .464 average with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs.
