Wednesday, August 15th, 2029
Doctors in Allentown said Joe Cates might not play anymore this year. The Hillbillies reliever suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament during a game against the Louisville Bats and will be out for at least 12-13 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.

To date this year, he has registered no saves, no wins and 1 loss with a 11.37 ERA. Cates has made 5 relief appearances, worked a total of 6.1 innings and surrendered 9 hits. He has fanned 4, issued 6 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .321 batting average.
