 | Valdéz Gets Award for Relief Work Monday, November 12th, 2029 The Continental League Reliever of the Year Award for 2029 has been bestowed on Springfield Stars relief specialist José Valdéz. The 32-year-old bullpen ace, out of Lenexa, Kansas, nailed down the award with 54 saves in 84 relief appearances, 126 strikeouts in 97.2 innings and a record of 6 wins and 5 losses to go with his 1.29 ERA. Jaime Espinoza of the Pocatello Bellas finished second in voting, while David Simpson of the Vista Panthers finished third. |   |
