 | Austin Mathematically Eliminated from Playoffs Wednesday, September 5th, 2029 Not even the most diehard Austin River Sharks fan thought the team had much chance at the playoffs this year. But now even the faintest hopes have been put to rest, as the River Sharks were mathematically eliminated from the postseason hunt today. Austin last appeared in the postseason in 2023. This is their 6th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 15 times in their 22-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the River Sharks have missed the playoffs 9 times. |   |
