Gone Again! 3 HR for Espinoza Thursday, August 30th, 2029 Today was a special one for Jesús Espinoza of the Maui Tropics as he slammed three home runs in the 9-8 win over the Austin River Sharks. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Maui third baseman collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6, and scored 3 runs in the contest at Greendale Community Field. Jesús Espinoza hit a two-run home run off Troy Lynn in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Josh Graham in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Paco Gutiérrez in the 11th. This season Espinoza has delivered 131 hits in 430 at-bats for a .305 average with 28 home runs. He is getting on base at a .364 clip and his totals also include 79 RBIs and 61 runs scored.
