 | Merritt Sensational, 6-for-7 Friday, August 24th, 2029 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Scott Merritt today -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Mel Fields and paced the Bandits to a 20-10 win over the Orlando Calrissian. After his dynamite batting performance, the San Francisco center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 7 tries and put his name in the record book. Scott Merritt singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
