| Browns Pull Even With 4-0 Victory | The St. Louis Browns picked up a win at Gateway Stadium, knocking off the Vista Panthers, 4-0. Starting pitcher Jeff Sandusky, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Jorge Pérez, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities. The Browns bumped their record to 32-32 with this latest triumph.
The Browns got a big at-bat from catcher Dave Watson. For the game, Watson went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave St. Louis a 3-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Watson told the St. Louis Daily.
