| Oilers Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Boston | The El Dorado Oilers grabbed a 7-4 win over the Boston Rebels at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace. El Dorado catcher Bob Johnson went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. Barton Johnson got the win, improving to 3-6. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Even with the win, the Oilers have a dismal 19-47 record.
El Dorado took a 5-4 lead on Theron Harper's 63rd hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Harper hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Nathan Walters shaking his head.
