| Marshals Prevail, 5-3, Over Maui | A 3-RBI performance from Esteban Lara, who is tied for 3rd in the CL in triples with 4, helped the Houston Marshals beat the Maui Tropics, 5-3. Vinícius Itaquy converted his 23rd save in 25 tries. Houston is now 33-34.
Lara had a game-changing triple in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Steve Floyd, he banged a 2-run triple to left-center, giving the Marshals a 4-2 lead. It was the 4th triple of the year for Lara.
In postgame comments to the Houston Chronicle, Lara said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
