| Tropics Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Marshals | Maui first baseman Luis Antonio Torres was instrumental in his team's 7-5 win over the Houston Marshals. Torres, who is a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, went 3-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Tropics. César Rúbio converted his 10th save in 11 tries. The winning continues for Maui, with the latest making it 8 straight.
Matt Silver hit a 2-run double off Daniel Grant in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Tropics in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Silver had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Maui manager Truman Bailey.
