| Knights Mow Down Rockets, 12-3 | Not everyone stuck through the 62-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The New York Knights downed the Nassau Rockets, 12-3, at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. José Peralta led the way, going 2-for-4 for New York. New York's record now stands at 31-33, placing them third in the National League Eastern Division.
Peralta contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for New York in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Peralta took a splitter from Ben Moody and stroked the single to center. His 13th hit of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 2-1.
In postgame remarks, Peralta said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
