Earl Austin was unstoppable, but the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves were not.

Despite his hitting heroics at Maniacs Ballpark today, the Wolves lost 17-10 to the Maize HS. Austin battered Maize HS for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.

Austin just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits."

Earl Austin singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Cliff Brown in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
