5-3 Win by Noise Continues Hot Start
|
Nevada played host to Hendersonville at the friendly confines of Branda's Palace.
Milton Watson made an impact in the 5-3 Nevada win over Hendersonville. Watson went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. David Taylor, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. Mark Murchison was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.
In the bottom of the 6th, second baseman Fernando Gálvez gave Nevada the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Noise had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out double off Hendersonville pitcher Jason Mason changed that -- and Nevada went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Gálvez.
Nevada, now 5-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
