Browns Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Kings
|
St. Louis pitcher Luis Noriega did his part in helping his team beat the Kansas City Kings, 6-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Browns bumped their record to 29-28 with this latest triumph.
The Browns got a big at-bat from first baseman David Johnstone. For the game, Johnstone was 1 for 4. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 13th hit of the season gave St. Louis a 3-2 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Noriega.
