The Pocatello Bellas defeated the Austin River Sharks, 3-1, in Continental League action at Connie Mack Stadium, with Pocatello pitcher Jesús De Los Santos named player of the game. De Los Santos got the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. De Los Santos allowed 1 earned run. The Bellas bumped their record to 40-15 with this latest triumph.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Adrián Martínez didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Austin trailing 3-1, Martínez retired Pedro Guzmán to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Martínez, with a wink.
