The Jersey Shore D-Bags beat the San Francisco Bandits, 8-2, at Bay View Park. The D-Bags got a fine performance from second baseman José Pinto, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 times. Getting the save was John Hall, his 1st. The Bandits, at 14-42, have lost 4 in a row.
António Cedeño, who is on pace to hit 43 home runs this season, aided the Jersey Shore cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Pinto.
