Bandits Score Late, Top Bruins, 4-3
|
The San Francisco Bandits did just enough to sneak past the So Cal Bruins, 4-3, at Bay View Park. San Francisco pitcher Francisco Arellano earned player of the game honors. San Francisco reliever Kunihiko Daikawa picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Masahiko Okada took the loss. San Francisco is now 13-38.
Owen Carter was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bandits catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Arellano.
