Bruins Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus San Francisco
|
So Cal Bruins starter Marty Burgess was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the San Francisco Bandits, 7-2. Burgess, now 7-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. The Bruins have an impressive 34-16 record.
In the top of the fourth inning, designated hitter Rubén Calderón came through big-time for the Bruins. With So Cal leading 2-1, he belted a solo home run.
Burgess told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
