Knights Win 3-2 Walk-Off

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the New York Knights got the win.
The Knights had to overcome a good performance from Irvine pitcher Masutaro Koyama to claim a 3-2 win at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. Koyama went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. New York reliever Juan Ortíz was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Jun Kawashima took the loss.
Marcos Pérez was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Knights center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Irvine manager Willie Lara.
The Knights, now 4-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
