Bruins Run Win Streak to 11
|
The So Cal Bruins defeated the San Francisco Bandits, 6-2, in National League action at Bay View Park, with So Cal pitcher Juan González named player of the game. The Bruins have now won 11 straight.
Had Rubén Calderón not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Calderón hit a 2-run triple. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Bruins.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said González.
