Pocatello Bellas starter Manuel Romero was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the El Dorado Oilers, 5-2. Romero, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 earned runs. Jaime Espinoza recorded the save for Pocatello, his 15th of the season.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when third baseman Keng-chi Lao hit a single. The Bellas went on to win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Lao told the Pocatello Today.
Pocatello has an impressive 34-12 record.
