Serrano Leads Noise to Win over Knights
|
The umbrellas came out during the Nevada-New York contest at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Víctor Serrano, the Nevada Noise stopped the New York Knights, 9-2. Dan Wilson got the win, improving to 5-1. He held the Knights to no earned runs on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 2.
Serrano had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the first inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Noise went on to win.
"I thought we played a nice game," Serrano told the Nevada Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
The Noise improved to 21-24.
