5 Straight Wins for Bruins
|
The So Cal Bruins electrified the home crowd at Jersey West at Staples Field with a walk-off win.
So Cal Bruins starter Jeffrey King turned in a sterling performance against the Hendersonville Hitmen, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. The Bruins, now 27-15, have won 5 in a row.
The Bruins got a big at-bat from left fielder José Antonio Santiago. For the game, Santiago went 2 for 6 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the 12th, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 58th hit of the season gave So Cal a 1-0 lead.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said So Cal field general Jorge Rivera.
