Marshals Come Back Late to Clip Bandits
|
The Houston Marshals defeated the San Francisco Bandits, 4-2, at Bay View Park today. Leading the charge for Houston was center fielder José Rodríguez. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win was credited to Álex Rodríguez in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Kunihiko Daikawa took the loss. The Marshals saw their win-loss record go to 19-21. At the same time, the Bandits fell to 7-32.
Chris Parker, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2025, chipped in for Houston with a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Parker. "Just do my job."
