The Philadelphia Athletics dealt the So Cal Bruins a 9-5 loss at Jersey West at Staples Field. Brian Boone was the star on offense. He went 3-7 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Esteban Juárez, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. The losing streak for So Cal has now reached 5 games.
