Rebels Win at Kenilworth, 6-1
|
Boston Rebels starter Jim Hendon was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Kenilworth Aces, 6-1. Hendon, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 1 earned run. Boston is now 14-21, Kenilworth 20-14.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the bottom of the second inning, but Hendon was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Kenilworth trailing 2-0, Hendon retired Taylor McFarland, who grounded out.
