Houston turned a good effort from starter Jim Daniel into a win over the St Charles Sheens at Crown Royal Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Daniel got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Daniel allowed no earned runs. Vinícius Itaquy closed the game out for Houston, earning his 2nd save.

The Marshals got a big at-bat from designated hitter Lewis Barr. For the game, Barr went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Houston a 3-0 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Daniel told the Houston Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

Houston is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 5 games.
