Dominant Performance by Cruz in Kansas City Win
|
Kansas City played host to Hendersonville at the friendly confines of The Throne Room.
The Kansas City Kings picked up a win at The Throne Room, knocking off the Hendersonville Hitmen, 2-0. Starting pitcher Osvaldo Cruz, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Nick Parks earned save number 6.
Hendersonville could barely put a dent in Cruz. The left-hander tossed 105 pitches over 8 innings for the Kings, allowing only 5 hits.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Cruz told the Kansas City News.
The Hitmen fall to 12-20 and continue their wobbly start to the 2029 season.
