Santos Socks it to Border Guards, Cracks 5 Hits
The Red Deer Wranglers stopped the Bismark Border Guards by a score of 18-3 at Roger Maris Field today, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Héctor Santos. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Santos said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Santos did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Border Guards.

"Not much that I can say," offered Bismark manager Ricardo Silva. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Héctor Santos walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Sean Hart in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
