G-Strings Lose, 6-1, at Gateway Stadium
|
It was a fun time at Gateway Stadium, where the Nashville G-Strings and St. Louis Browns tangled.
Mike Hill helped his team muscle past the Nashville G-Strings, 6-1. In the game, the St. Louis left fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Bernardo Miranda, who threw 104 pitches over 6 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 10 hits.
Hill had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Browns went on to win.
Hill told a St. Louis Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The G-Strings fall to 15-17 and continue their uneasy start to the 2029 season.
