Calrissian Lose to Rockets, 6-3
|
Orlando shortstop Tim Abbott had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Abbott went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2, even as Nassau beat the Calrissian, 6-3. Abbott was named the player of the game despite the loss. Juan Franco nailed down his 2nd save. The Rockets, at 23-10, lead by one game in their division.
The Rockets took the lead, 4-3, in the top of the seventh. Salvador Borbón had the clutch at-bat. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Nassau manager Ji-an Shaw.
