Miranda Now 3-1 After Subduing Noise
|
Bernardo Miranda pitched a gem to lead St. Louis to a 5-1 victory over the Nevada Noise. Picking up the save was Cristóbal Gómez, his 4th. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Browns hope to make a postseason run.
Miranda's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 4 hits. Miranda, who is a two-time All-Star, goes to 3-1 on the year with 20 strikeouts.
"We'll savor this win," Miranda told the St. Louis Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
