Oilers Sneak Past Knights, 6-5

The El Dorado Oilers turned back the New York Knights, 6-5, at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. Ernesto Acosta was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Oilers are off to a tough start, getting just their 9th win in 28 games.
The Oilers got a big at-bat from left fielder Chris Miller. For the game, Miller was 2-5 with 2 singles. In the top of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 23rd hit of the season gave El Dorado a 6-5 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Miller told the El Dorado Bulletin.
