The Austin River Sharks picked up a win at Greendale Community Field, knocking off the Vista Panthers, 10-3. Starting pitcher António Rijo, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Panthers drop to 10-16 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2029 season.

Tony Cruz aided the Austin cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We'll savor this win," Rijo told the Austin Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
