Machine Drop Another One
|
The Seattle Pikes got a stellar performance from pitcher Francisco Carrasco, who handcuffed the Chicago offense en route to a 5-2 win at Old Comiskey Park. Cristián Escobar closed the game out for Seattle, earning his 7th save. Chicago, at 6-18, is off to a poor start in 2029.
The Pikes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Matt O'Rourke. For the game, O'Rourke was 1-2, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 2nd hit of the season gave Seattle a 4-2 lead.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Seattle manager Kevin Hickey.
