Hit Parade: Nicholson Pops 5 Hits
|
Even as a kid, John Nicholson said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At The Star Zone today, Nicholson showed how well he learned that lesson.
The 26-year-old center fielder had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Mexico City Cerveceros, helping his team knock off the Redwood City Redwoods by a score of 11-10.
"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today."
John Nicholson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
In the 2029 season Nicholson is hitting .269 with 2 home runs.
