|
Houston right-hander Jim Daniel pitched his team to victory over the New York Knights at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. The final score was 3-0. Vinícius Itaquy earned the save for Houston, his 10th of the year. The loss drops New York to 14-9.
Michael Thomas, who is tied for 3rd in the CL in triples with 2, aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3 with a triple.
"It feels good to get this one," Daniel told the Houston Chronicle.
