Kings Solve Bandits, 6-4
|
The Kansas City Kings stopped the San Francisco Bandits, 6-4, behind an impressive performance from Oliver Lugo. The 34-year old center fielder made life miserable for San Francisco pitching. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Bandits, at 2-16, have stumbled out of the gate.
Jeremy Carr, who is tied for 7th in the CL in stolen bases with 5, chipped in for Kansas City with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Carr. "And not try to do too much."
