Great Day for Alexander -- 5 Hits

It was a big day for Charles Alexander and he brought the Indiana Hounds along for the ride.
Alexander led his club to a 26-8 victory over the Portland Privateers today at County Stadium, smoking Portland pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 28-year-old shortstop later called the victory "sweet."
Charles Alexander doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Dan Ford in the 7th.
