Bellas Sneak Past Rockets, 2-1 | Nassau Grounds was the site of a tense game between the Nassau Rockets and Pocatello Bellas.
Pocatello Bellas starter Bob Moss was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Nassau Rockets, 2-1. The winner was Pocatello reliever Jaime Espinoza, now 12-6. The loser was Kel Meyer. Gerald Johnson got the save, his 5th in 5 chances.
The Bellas got a big at-bat from right fielder Paco Arellano. For the game, Arellano went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 29th hit of the season gave Pocatello a 2-1 lead.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Moss told the Pocatello Today.
The Bellas bumped their record to 98-53 with this latest triumph.
