| Royale with Cheese Win at Portland, 5-1 | The exploits of center fielder Caden Keith, who is tied for 9th in the CL in stolen bases with 38, helped the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese defeat the Portland Cards, 5-1. Keith went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Royale with Cheese bumped their record to 86-63 with this latest triumph.
Keith contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Kalamazoo in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Keith took a fastball from Manuel Fuentes and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Royale with Cheese to leap in front, 2-1.
"It was a good effort all around," said Keith.
