López Helps Houston Cruise to 11-3 Win | 2029 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Seattle Pikes.
Houston left fielder Gilberto López was a significant contributor in his team's 11-3 triumph over the Seattle Pikes. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Houston. Stanley Inman earned the win for Houston. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 9 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 9-10.
López had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 changeup from Jesús Martínez, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Marshals a 6-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for López.
