| Bellas Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus Springfield | Pocatello right-hander Alejandro Méndez made an effective start against the Springfield Stars at Kekambas Park, leading his team to a 8-4 win. Pocatello is now 96-52, 23˝ games up in the Continental League Western Division.
Millard Boyd was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Pocatello. The 32-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Claudio Martínez. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Boyd said after the game.
